ArTrA is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution which enables a virtual information model to be handed from a Design Team (architects, surveyors, consulting engineers, and others), to Contractors and Subcontractors and then to the Owner. The ArTrA Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution allows all parties to add their own discipline-specific knowledge and tracking of changes to the single model. ArTrA accomplishes this by enabling the user to view, interrogate, and link documents to models without the need for CAD software. 3D CAD drawings can be imported into ArTrA regardless of the CAD software used to create those drawings. ArTrA can be implemented in large to small projects, with current projects ranging from 1 to 6000 users.

ArTrA BIM Solution Advantages

The ArTrA BIM solution is unique in many aspects in comparison to other BIM software. While other BIM software providers require the purchase of their CAD software, ArTrA BIM is CAD independent allowing you the freedom to choose the CAD software that is best for your company. This not only breaks limitations but also saves your company money. The cost for additional seats of CAD software can be thousands of dollars per user, while adding ArTrA BIM users costs only hundreds of dollars per user. It also eliminates the cost on expensive CAD training because ArTrA is easy to use and learn. The ArTrA BIM solution will also save you more time than other BIM software. Other BIM software requires the user to create and update a central database, in effect doubling the amount of management time. ArTrA BIM links directly to documents wherever you have them located eliminating the need to monitor the correct version of multiple document copies.

ArTrA Librarian

Assemble and Classify project documents. ArTrA Librarian creates an individual database containing essential information linked to the design model. It is a complete document management system for your Artra projects.
ArTrA Librarian allows you to create document classes, group document types into required categories, assign document properties to document classes, compose documents to attach to the model, as well as enter document details and comments.

ArTrA Archiver

Attach project documents to 3D model and control document organization. PDS/Microsation and AutoCAD models can be combined and viewed as one model. ArTrA runs as a stand alone product. No CAD package is required to view or access data.

  • PDS/Microstation and AutoCad models can be combined and viewed as one model.
  • ArTrA uses the powerful NavisWorks viewer as a graphic link to related documents and design data.
  • Design data is extracted from the original CAD system to populate the NavisWorks model.
  • Any combination of extracted data can be used to create a search criteria.
  • ArTrA runs as a stand alone product, i.e. no CAD package is required to view or access this data.
  • To link a document to an item, simply drag and drop a document or a selection of documents onto the item (click to see screen shot).
  • Documents are listed under their pre-assigned classes.
  • Another method of linking documents is to create a search and link documents to the search result.
